Tag;; Matthew Word Count;; 604 Dress: Portkey Notes;; Sorry, it rather sucks quite horribly.
Evelina Carmichael smiled to herself as she ensured her image in the mirror was flawless, taking a step back and admiring her reflection. Several of her dorm-mates just smirked and rolled their eyes at her, already used to her primping and pampering before she went somewhere; the fact that this was her Cupid match meant little or nothing to most of them. Several had already been matched themselves whereas others couldn't imagine the idea of being paired off with somebody while they were so young. Lina was caught somewhere in the middle. Having grown up in the type of family she did, she'd known straight from childhood that her parents would choose a husband for her. Cupid taking over match-making and Hogwarts was practically the same thing in her mind; it didn't matter that it opened her options up because the choice of who she would marry was still not going to be hers.
A few moments later she left her house without even bothering to bring her school robes with her. what was the point? She looked great, felt great, and was determined to have a great night. She smirked slightly to herself as a few passers-by admired the way she looked. It wasn't as if her match would mind too much. At least, Lina didn't think Matt would mind it too much. They were on good terms, after all, despite their fling at the end of the previous school year ending badly. But she could hardly remember what had happened anyways; it wasn't important. Well, it hadn't been until she received her Cupid letter, anyways. Oh well. She considered it a blessing that she at least knew who her match was rather than having it be some complete stranger who knew nothing about who she was as a person.
Opening the large doors to Cupid's Hall, Lina was almost amused by all the little decorations they had. It was magical and sweet in it's own way, she supposed, but it was also very corny. She watched the numbers go by before she found the door she was looking for: 128. This was it. Almost hesitantly she glanced around the long, empty hallway, though she'd never admit to being nervous. No, the way she was feeling in her stomach was absolutely not related to this meeting. She refused to believe it. With a deep breath she entered the room, relaxing the tiniest bit when it turned out to be empty. Somehow she should have known that he wouldn't be here yet, she thought to herself with a smirk. No big deal; it gave her a chance to look over the room. It was nice, she supposed, though it couldn't compare to her parent's manor. It even had options. In one corner near a window saw a table and two chairs, though the main section of the room had plush, comfy looking couches. All in all, it was rather cozy.
With nothing better to do, Evelina sat on the love seat, stretching out her legs as she got comfortable. Hopefully he wouldn't keep her waiting too long.
