don't wanna live without you
weekends were awesome. hogwarts wasn't a typical school, true, but it was still as school and its inhabitants, for the most part, were still teenagers. it was like an unspoken rule, perhaps written down on a piece of paper at the beginning of time, now lost through the ages, that teenagers and school just did not mix. they were not meant to mix. they were meant to despise each other, to avoid each other, and to enjoy each other's absence. yes, it was possible that a school could do such things. weekends, however, were something about hogwarts that kory could definitely enjoy. he had the entire castle to explore with whomever he wanted to hang out with and a beautiful lush paradise of the grounds outdoors to wander. weekends were like heaven to the seventh year gryffindor, especially when he could spend them with her.
today, especially, was going to be a day he'd enjoy. of course, any date with ren was one he looked forward to, but today was pretty momentous for them as a couple. it was four years ago today that kory had finally gathered up the courage burrowed in the back of his mind for two years to ask serenity cruise to be his girlfriend, and there hadn't been a day since that he'd regretted it. why would he? the girl was just right for him, in his opinion. four years, and hopefully more to come, right?
for today's anniversary he'd planned quite a bit of a date. the house elves had been all too happy to help him, as they were happy to help anyone, prepare a picnic of his and his girlfriend's favorite foods. he'd take her down by the frozen lake, where he'd first asked her out, enjoy their lunch, and then go to hogsmeade for a while, maybe going shopping and then going for a drink at the ancient madame puddifoot's shop. by the time, he hoped, they returned to the castle it would be late and night and their anniversary would have been a day well spent.
luckily the weather was cooperating for the date. it wasn't warm by any means, but for winter it could at least be considered above average. certainly a coat would be necessary for the picnic. kory was dressed fairly warmly, leather jacket and jeans with black mitts at the ready in his pockets, but he'd always had a good cold tolerance and a rather good immune system in his experience, so he wasn't worried much about temperature. he'd come to the black lake early, spreading a checkered blanket on the ground under a tree where the snow was thinnest and placing the foot on top it was he waited for ren to meet him. he hadn't told her the details of their date, just that she should meet him at the black lake at noon, which meant that she should be arriving any second now. |

Serenity sighed lightly, Today she was meeting Kory. He had something planned for thier fourth year aniversary. She sighed as she walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out her favorite pair of black skinny jeans and her bright pink tank top. She changed her clothes and then pulled on her black cowboy boots. She sighed and pulled on her black and yellow hoodie. She smiled as she grabbed her purse and her wand and walked out of her commen room. She loved her boyfriend with all of her heart.
She couldn't wait to be with him on thier aniversary. She was so excited to give him the owl she had gotten him. She was so excited about giving him hornet ze owl she was beside her self in anticipation. She smiled lightly and walked down the stairs almost dancing around the corridors. She smiled, she had planned the most romantic present. She had sent hornet ze owl a letter to deliver to Kory in the middle of thier date. It was a poem she had written him about how wonderful thier love was. She danced down the last stair case singing thier sonf in her head. She was so in love with this boy.
She sighed as she walked out in to the brisk cool winter air. She was so extactic to see him as always. She had loved this boy since she was thirteen. Well actually since she was eleven. They had been paired together on a project and she instantly fell in love. She had never loved anyone or hell even liked anyone before this boy and she knew he was going to be the last boy she ever loved. He was her very own night in shining armor. She smiled lightly as the memories faded back into her mind.
She smiled lightly as she remeber the first time he asked her out and the first time they shared a kiss. She was so in love with him and wanted him to know how much he meant to her. He smiled brightly and as she left the courtyard and headed towards the lake. She couldn't wait to see him. She smiled as she spotted him from across the lake. She began to get excited and just wanted to run towards him. She smiled and looked at him right in the eyes and smiled brightly. She loved his deep brown eyes.
She ran the las three yards to her prince. She smiled brightly and bent down to kiss him softly on the cheek and then looked at him. She gently sat down on the blanket beside him and smiled looking at his handsome face. She was so lucky to be with a man like him. She just wished she would get her stupid cupid letter to make thier relationship official in cupids eyes. She knew he was her soul mate. They were too much alike not to be soul mates. She smiled lightly and looked over at him and sighed.
"This is beautiful baby"

don't wanna live without you
kory had recently been told, by a bit of a bitch of a slytherin seventh year girl, that he was too young to be in love. she said that you couldn't know that you were in love until you were older, if it existed at all. she'd claimed that he and ren were merely infatuated with each other, or using each other to make their lives a little bit less lonely, which kory had only rolled his eyes at. that stance on things, that he was too young to love, was laughable, really, when cupid, the freakin' god of love, was matching third and fourth years together and expecting them to live happily ever after. he and ren had been together longer than most matched couples were before they decided to get married, they'd grown together through some crucial years in a teenager's life, and frankly there was little doubt in kory's mind that he was in love. really, everyone who mocked his relationship with serenity were just jealous that they couldn't find someone that they were as comfortable around as he was with ren. she made him happy, and that was all that mattered to the seventh year boy.
speaking of the beautiful hufflepuff... he didn't have to wait long until she was appearing through the trees, looking bright and energized as always. he'd long ago stopped trying to prevent the crooked grin that spread across his lips at her presence, realizing that it was futile. as soon as she sat down beside him he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer to him. he no longer needed to use the 'don't want you to get cold' excuse that had had used to be near her in their first few months together. "i can think of one thing in the world more beautiful..." he informed her with a smile. yeah, the guy was a sucker for cheesy lines that would make most people in the world roll their eyes and groan. sue him. ren hadn't dumped him for cheesiness yet, so he'd continue with the little quips until she told him to stop.
still smiling, the seventeen year old leaned over to plant a light kiss on his girlfriend's lips. "happy four years, ren." and hoping for many more... he couldn't explain why he didn't want to say that aloud. maybe it would jinx things... maybe suddenly she'd tire of his company and break their relationship off. he didn't often think of himself as a superstitious guy, but if there was any one thing that he did not want to screw up by jinxing it it was this.
"i hope you like the menu," he smiled, not that he didn't think she would. after all, it was filled with their favorite foods. "after we have lunch i thought we could go to hogsmeade and spend the afternoon there, then maybe go to the astronomy tower to look at the stars in the evening? what do you think?" |
