Cole Edison Blackthorne
Cole Edison Blackthorne is 16 years old, born in Reading, England on 7th August to Hope Edison and Charlie Blackthorne, a happily married Muggle couple who just so happened to be very well known actors around the world. Fame was second nature to Cole and his three sisters (19 year old Jessamy, 14 year old Analie, and 11 year old Leola), and he got into it at an early age, wanting to follow in his parents' footsteps and scoring child roles in big budget movies. He later moved onto teen stuff, and plans to carry on acting for as long as he's physically able. Upon receiving a letter informing him he was a wizard at the age of eleven, Cole was thrilled, his already overactive imagination being fueled tremendously with the possibilities of what his life could be like. He decided that he could make movies during the summer holidays, and learn all he could about magic in the meantime, figuring he could catch up on boosting his career properly when he finished school. He doesn't like to tell people at Hogwarts about his family's status or fame, and prefers to keep a low key, not mentioning it unless he's collared on the spot by a nosy person who's figured it out, or a fellow Muggleborn who recognizes him. He's a very modest person who knows what he wants, and pretty much already has it in his grasp. He's intelligent and hard working, and likes to have fun with his friends and learn as much as possible. He's very outgoing, and will give most things a try, just for the experience of it, and given his own experiences from his life before magic, he's very good at giving advice, and has a strong, sensible head on his shoulders. He loves music, and anything creative that pushes boundaries and makes people think outside the box, and thinks laughter cures anything.
Cole finds it fairly easy to make friends. He's a very open, non-judgmental character, who just wants an easy life without too many hassles. He keeps his fair share of secrets, but will openly admit to any and all of them if someone finds them out and approaches him, about it, though he never divulges too much information willingly to anyone, which means his friends aren't the closest they could be to him. He looks for the kinds of people who will befriend him for his personality, and the fact that they just generally like him, rather than those who might want to use him for something, or just hang around with him because he's famous in the Muggle world. He's very good at weedling out the genuine people from the ones with stars in their eyes, though, so his real friends are those he knows he can trust completely no matter what they find out about him. He's loyal and outgoing in general, and very easy to be around and entertaining.
Those people that do try to use him because of his status of fame or fortune will be here. Or more likely, not anywhere on his list. He tries not to make too many enemies, and is at least polite to everyone, as he sees it as pretty dangerous to have haters. His parents drilled it into him that he had to make people like him, or at least try not to upset the apple cart too much, since they'd both had their fair share of stalkers and death threats in their time, and Cole was always taught to try and prevent that kind of behaviour towards him whenever possible. He will merely avoid anyone he doesn't like, rather than declaring them an enemy.
Again, he finds it hard to trust people, unsure of their true motives until he knows them well, so having girlfriends has so far remained a frivolous pastime, since he doesn't want to get in too deep and then be stuck, unable to escape the greedy grip of whatever girl he's gotten tangled up with. He does want to find love, though, and he hopes whoever he is matched with is the kind of person that will love him for who he is, and not what he can give them materially. He's very sweet and romantic with girls, in that way, and a lot of fun to be around.
