Terrance James Johanson sighed as he wandered through the grassy courtyard of Hogwarts. He had not expected this kind of day to ever occur. He was bored and he hated being bored. He usually avoided being bored at all costs, even studying to avoid boredom. He'd generally spend time with friends or read as well, but none of that seemed to help him at all today. Why on earth was he so easily bored when he normally found something fun to do? It made no sense to him whatsoever. Either way, it left him wandering around, garbed in a silver t-shirt with blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes. He had his wand in his left pocket, despite being right handed, and had an obviously bored expression inscribed on his face. He was not really in the mood to be messed with right now either, so he hoped that anyone who came by helped relieve the boredom rather than push him around.
He sat down on a stone bench, facing the rest of the grounds of Hogwarts rather than one of the courtyard walls. He wasn't about to stare at a wall, because that was an obvious sign of boredom. He didn't want to keep to himself either, as being a loner wasn't in his nature. He sighed as he watched people wander across the grounds, most passing him by without giving a second glance. He had to admit that he figured that would happen, so he laid down on the bench, bringing his knees up so that his feet were on the bench. He put his hands on his stomach and watched the clouds go by, unintentionally falling asleep as he did so. He woke up probably about thirty minutes later, noticing someone standing next to the bench. Kohaku Shiba sighed as he wandered out of the school, whole body shaking as he walked. He'd been napping, exhaustion had been stalking him daily and he'd given into the desire to sleep. However his sleep had been plauged by nightmares of burning buildings, and he'd woken up drenched in sweat. Knowing that there were only a few ways to chase way the freezing feer that crept into his bones, he quickly dressed into one of the yukatas that he'd brought with him to Hogwarts then slipped outside into the bright warm sunlight. "I'm an idiot, getting worked up about a stupid nightmare." He muttered to himself in Japanese, making a face and ignoring the stares that his dress was attracting. "If Kaede could see me now." Of course that made him sad again, knowing that his twin could never be next to him again, that he would never hear his twin's laughter again. Shaking his head roughly, he continued to walk, folding his arms in a nervous gesture that he'd never really been able to get rid of. He slowed down, as he started to recite potion ingredients in his mind, and what they were good for, it was another way of calming down, one that he rarely used because he rarely had the time to go through the quite extensive list of ingredients he had stored in his mind. He spotted a bench and decided to sit down so he could attempt to meditate, he figured his inner mind was a mess since he hadn't had time in along while to meditate. However, as he made his way over he saw that there was a person on the bench already, he hesitated for a moment trying to decide wheather he should leave or not. Before he could decide, the person opened his eyes. "Sumimasen deshita." he appologized politely, bowing slightly. "I must be in your way."

"Hm? Oh, no it's all good. I probably needed to wake up anyway. At the very least it keeps me from having to worry about teachers hunting for me and me getting in trouble. That's the last thing that I want to deal with, so I gotta thank you for wakin me up, albeit unintentionally," he replied, sitting up. He stretched a bit as he fully awoke from his brief nap, making sure that his body didn't become stiff and more likely to be injured. Being hurt was something else that didn't really appeal to him. Yet he ironically admired the people who risked their lives to do something incredibly stupid, probably because he really couldn't. It was very weird when he thought about it, but he knew that if he spent all day dwelling on the idea, he'd start to go very crazy.
He took a look at the attire of the person who woke him up and was a bit surprised by the attire. It was an article of clothing that was rarely seen, forgetting being worn altogether, here out west. He wasn't really familiar with what it was called, as he hadn't really been out to the east before in his life. He actually didn't care at the moment, though, because it didn't really concern him at all where the young man came from. He took a glance at the guy's face and figured that he was at least a year older than him if not more. He hadn't yet seen this 6th year, so it stood to reason that they weren't in the same house, though having the same classes was definitely still likely. They did tend to mix 5th-7th years in classes after all.

"I see," Kohaku said softly, not really sure what else to say, he couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with the people here in England, where they wouldn't respect their teachers, bieng from a culture that taught you to respect your Sensei's and Senpai from an early age, he was still struck by culture shock at times like these. He folded his hands in the folds of his sleeves, digging his hands into his arms so he wouldn't say anything rude, that he would probably regret later. "Do you mind if I sit here?" he asked politely, eyeing the boy sitting on the bench. He wasn't in Kohaku's year, he was almost one hundred percent positive about that, maybe a year or so younger. Of course it didn't matter, he was never really good with faces, or names for that matter, a by-product of his not caring when he was younger after the fire. He was almost completely certain that the boy was not a Hufflepuff, he hadn't seen him around the Common room, but once again that wasn't saying anything. He shifted slightly, hating the feel of western shoes with his traditional dress, it wasn't the fact that he didn't like wearing shoes, it was more the fact it felt wierd then anything else. "I'm Shiba Kohaku, by the way." He continued, shifting his gaze to look around their surroundings, before realizing what he'd said. "Actually it's Kohaku Shiba, I forgot I'm not in Japan anymore." He offered a sheepish smile, and one of his hands reached out to rub the back of his head embarrased, before slinking back into his sleeves again. He didn't know exactly why he was introducing himself, only that it would be rude not to he felt.
