The nightmares had woken her up again. the sounds of screaming eluded her mind. Her sisters face in her mind. Her brown eyes opened with a start and the tears cascaded. She wipped her face off and climbed quietly out of bed, in fear of waking her dorm mates. She walked to her trunk and grabbed her cloak and slipped on a pair of sandles. She grabbed her wand and book and silently slipped out of the room. Her dark hair in a bun on top of her head was ruffled and tossed. She didn't care as long as no one saw her.
She walked gently out of the portel. She was wearing her green sweatpants and a black slytherin class shirt. She slipped her cloak around her shoulders and wandered up the stairs. It wasn't a night to meet melenda for some pudding so she decided to make her destination much harder to find. She walked silently up the stairs looking for her destination. A big blank wall that held the power to transport her where ever she wanted, and tonight she wanted to be home. In the little town she was born in. Even though she knew she couldn't be there the room would do its best to make her feel at home.
She smiled as she saw the big wall closer and her eyes widening. She had to figure exactly what to think of. Her mind went blank as she walked closer to the wall. She thought of happy things and bright silly colors, and with that the door opened and she walked in. All around her she saw bean bag chairs and bright lights and different sized tables and chairs. She sighed and walked close to one of the green bean bag chairs and plopped down opening her book lightly.

The castle was at its most peaceful at this time of night. The drafty corridors were still, every portrait snoozing gently, their occupants pushed against their frames as they rested. A soft smile twitched at the corners of Evelyn Santiago's mouth. There was something cool about the stillness that fell over the normally busy castle at this hour. Rather than rushing about, looking for classes and remembering which halls to avoid or what person liked to linger where, one could take their time, relishing in the enormity of the ancient castle that loomed and twisted around them. Great witches and wizards once walked in the same paths, and some still did in a different, ethereal form.
It was fascinating to contemplate at least. Bright yellow socks patted across the floor gently, muffling the noise of her foot steps. Evelyn certainly didn't want to be caught wandering the halls this late. Normally sleep came to her easier, but on nights like this a strange sort of restlessness over took her.
"The moon's getting to you, Mija" She said aloud, echoing the familiar words of her mother. The foreign tongue felt awkward on her tongue having not used it in so many months but flowed beautifully despite the lack of use, no rust here.
Shaking off the oogy feelings, Evelyn wandered without purpose, following the faintest of feelings as she turned the corner. A shuddering sound caught her attention as the olive skinned girl peaked around the wall, watching as bricks rearranged themselves, forming a beautifully ornate door. At its entrance stood a dark haired girl wrapped stiffly in her cloak, the slightest peak of green on its edge.
"The Room of Requirement?" Evelyn asked aloud, dark eyes wide as the bricks started to shift, concealing the door once more. Stepping forward she looked over the vast blank wall. It was something she'd only read about in books, never seen used before. Would she be able to get in with it already in use? Only one way to try...
Pacing back and forth Evelyn's mind focused on a single thought, tossing it back and forth like a ball in her deep concentration. "I want to see where that girl went..."
