Coming from a family that had money to burn, Johnny was quite at home in a tux, having been forced to attend formal events with his parents for most of his life. His shoes were shined to perfection, yet his hair maintained it's usual ruffled look, which suited him just fine. He did think he looked rather dapper, if he was honest with himself. It hadn't taken him too long to get himself ready for this 'date' of sorts, and he was quite proud that he hadn't even dawdled much to delay it a bit.
You see, he hadn't been at all pleased to be matched at such a young age, even though he was well aware that it was normal for teens to be matched, he just never considered that it would happen to him, and cut his romantic life short. It had taken him a while to come to terms with it, and calm down from the frustrated, enraged state he had been in upon first receiving his letter from Cupid. He wasn't an idiot, though. He knew the score. Defy Cupid's orders and lose your head. He wasn't too keen on that idea, and so had managed to talk himself around to being sensible about the whole thing. He would not commit to this girl, whoever she was - unless she was some stunning beauty with a mind-blowing personality - but he could definitely find it in himself to be polite and offer some sort of friendship to start with.
That was why he had gone against the usual cliche, and brought a small bunch of bright yellow daffodils for the girl. Usually roses or other popular flowers would be the done thing, but Johnny wanted to be different. Besides, there was good reasoning behind it. Daffodils were sunny and cheerful, he thought, and he had heard that the colour yellow represented friendship. And that was what he was willing to give this girl. Sunny friendship. Nothing more. Not yet, anyway. He would have to see her, and get to know her, and figure out if she was someone he could even grow to like over time. All he had at the moment was a name, one that he had never even heard before around the castle, so he was completely in the dark.
He leaned casually against the wall beside the door to the room they were to meet in. He had arrived a little early to find the door still locked, so waiting outside for Emilia Nezich - whoever she was - was his only option. He fiddled patiently with the flowers, tweaking them so they sat just right, all facing in complimentary directions. Yes, Johnny was a perfectionist in many ways, though it often went unnoticed, like a lot of things about him that were safely hidden beneath the surface. His heart was beating twenty to the dozen with nerves, but he kept a lid on it, keeping his breathing as even as possible as he repeated calming thoughts over and over in his head.

( WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT NOT WHAT YOU NEED ) Jonathan Townsend.
That name sounds familiar
Emilia's thoughts traveled as she attempted to pull up the zipper of her dress. Her dress was a Bright blue with and black lacey belt on it. She pulled her heels on and clipped a locket necklace around her neck. she took one last look in the mirror and concluded she needed a bracelet which she easily slipped on to her wrist.
Emilia always loved getting dressed up. Her family wasn't high status so she didn't grow up always going to parties. That's what she wanted though. excuses to get dressed up. She was wearing her favorite dress although it made her skin look fair. Her hair reached down to her chest. her black heels gave her an extra three inches making her 5'4.
Leaving her room Emilia made her way to the room cupid demanded her to go to. Her nerves were going. It had been a while since she went on some type of date since her last boyfriend but then again she does have trust issues. Emilia's hand ran through her hair, her hand stopping as soon as it started for a wire headband was in the way. She smirked slightly as she remembered she hadn't taken it off from earlier but it was much too late to go back.
With every step she took closer to the room, her heart beat sped up slowly. Her heels clicking echoed slightly in through the halls. She considered ditching it but cupid would probably murder her and she preferred to keep her head. Emilia didn't think much would come of this, maybe a friendship. He'd have to be pretty amazing to get through Emilia's defense system which included a nice wall that has over stayed it's welcome. She turned the corner to see a guy standing in from of her room door. she did a loop and rounded the corner, deciding she wanted to risk getting murdered.
Emilia shook her head and turned around again, going around the corner and walking towards the guy. As she grew closer, she realized how attractive he looked. Great, Now it will be even harder she whined in her head. Emilia folded her hands in front of her dress to hide her nervousness.
" Hi, I'm Emilia" she said adding a smile after it.

The sounds of heels clicking along the stone floor caused Johnny to straighten up, an inbuilt desire to look smart and alert, which his mother had always drilled into him. He didn't suppose slouching against a wall would make a very good first impression on anyone, yet alone his supposed true love. He wanted to throw up just at the thought of that. Clearing his throat, he glanced down the corridor one way, to find it empty, then the other, to see the back of a girl in a blue dress zipping around the corner.
Was that her? Emilia? Had she actually taken one look at him and turned and fled for her life? That had never happened before to Johnny, and for some reason, he found it highly amusing, and was about to laugh out loud, when she rounded the corner once more, this time continuing right on up to him and stopping a polite distance away. She was, well, actually, the thing he couldn't help but be fascinated by was how the blue of her dress made the colour of her eyes pop in the most beautiful way. Really, stunning. And she did have a pretty face, sort of innocent looking, which honestly worried Johnny. He didn't know if he was too into innocent. He liked girls with a bit of fight in them, though maybe this Emilia would surprise him. She certainly looked good in her outfit, but he tried not to do the typical guy thing and look her over like a piece of meat.
She introduced herself with a pretty smile, and Johnny returned it, holding out the flowers for her. "It's nice to finally meet you, Emilia. I'm Johnny," he couldn't believe how awkward he was feeling at that moment. He, Jonathan Townsend. The boy renowned all his life for being able to talk to anyone and charm the birds out of the trees, was at a loss for what to say or do. He needed to get his act together. If he was feeling like that, then Merlin only knew how bad Emilia must be feeling. He needed to put his own discomfort aside and do what he could to set her at ease. "You look lovely tonight," he complimented, turning to try the door handle to their designated room once more.
It clicked open immediately, and Johnny swallowed hard, disguising it with a happy smile as he pulled it wide and gestured for Emilia to enter ahead of him. "Shall we? Ladies first." He really didn't want to know what awaited them inside, though he had no doubts that it would be something cheesy or tacky or embarrassing. Granted, he had the natural ability to make the most of almost any situation, so he would get them both through whatever it was somehow. He hoped there was some form of radio or entertainment to distract them. Silent rooms were always the hardest to fill. At least if there was music - probably mushy stuff courtesy of Cupid and his fat little evil cherub arse - it would help eradicate any tension. It would relax Johnny, at least. His head started to throb from worrying.

Emilia looked him over, He was quite attractive. she couldn't help but blush, how did she end up with him? her supposed 'true love' this she wasn't sure of but she knew one thing. If he ended up being her 'true love' he'd defiantly have to climb over walls and maybe bend over backwards to reach her heart. He brought her back to reality as he introduced himself. Emilia's hands were shaking with nervousness. Why? perhaps because it was a blind date that she couldn't ditch like she had done many times before. She reached out her hand and took the flowers, she held up to her face and smelt them."hmm... These are my favorites!" she exclaimed happily. She blushed as he complimented her and smiled in return. "thank you, you don't look to bad yourself." she wink before giggling softly. Playfully flirting wasn't hard for her, she liked doing it sometimes actually.
The door clicked open, and Johnny gestured for her to walk in first. Emilia was actually surprised at him treating her like a lady, not many guys do that now an days. She was nervous, so nervous she felt like vomiting. Luckily, she knew she wasn't going to. She strolled in to the room to see, it wasn't an extravagant room it was simply a cheesy looking lounge which excited her slightly. Emilia loved cheesy things, like cheesy pick-up lines, randomly getting flowers or chocolates, things like that. There seemed to be music play, softly of course and it sounded a little like jazz. There seemed to be a bar, but Emilia doubted there would be alcohol there, but she hoped slightly there would be.
Emilia made her way towards one of the couches, there seemed to be at least three or four in the room, each with it's own coffee table as well as side tables. There were some tables in the back by the bar, they were high raised as well as the chairs. one could probably get food here as well somehow, it was cupid after all... but who could eat at a time like this!? The flooring was finished hardwood so every time she took a step she'd make a clicking noise. That was going to get old real soon. The walls were an off-white color, and had some paintings on them. of course the paintings had to do with love it seemed like. but over all it was a fairly cheesy room. Emilia gestured for Johnny to take a seat next to her and smiled. "So tell me about yourself" she asked, trying to make this as least awkward as possible..

Johnny couldn't help but laugh softly to himself as he entered the room behind Emilia. It was so overly set up, just as he had expected, couches and tables scattered about, and a place to get food or a drink, it was almost set up to be their own private club and, yes, there actually was cheesy music playing. Luckily, Johnny had eclectic tastes, so the quite jazz crackling through the room only caused him to tap his foot to the rhythm, rather than cringe. He followed his match across the room to a couch she had chosen, and was a little surprised at her sudden confidence as she patted the seat next to her for him to sit, and asked him to tell her about himself.
Well, from what he had gathered, she was a Gryffindor, so he supposed it shouldn't be too much of a surprise for her to be bolder than she appeared. He took the seat, leaving a polite distance between them and shifting slightly so he was facing her. "Well, what do you want to know?" he asked with a laugh. There really were too many places he could start, and honestly, he didn't fancy revealing anything too personal to a complete stranger. That left him with the basics. That was as good a place as any to start. He ran a hand through his hair nervously, though managed to make it look casual as he cleared his throat and tried to give her his full attention.
"Uhh, I'm seventeen, from London, I'm an only child, which I'm fine with," he listed it all in a very confident way, as though he wasn't unsure of what to say at all. "Erm, what else? I'm a Scorpio, if that means anything to you. I almost got sorted into Ravenclaw. I spend a lot of time in the library. I love Quidditch." He paused there, wondering if he had given her enough to go off of. It was quite a generalized request from her, and he thought he'd managed to give her a general answer, though Johnny still couldn't help but feel like he was rambling.
He was good at talking, but hardly ever about himself. Every single conversation that he had with someone outside of his closest friends, was held up with superficial crap, or philosophy, or personal things about the other person. Johnny never revealed too much to anyone. When it came to saying what he liked, or how he really felt, deep down, almost everybody was kept in the dark. So at this awkward point in time, the best he could do was sit and ramble, which made him feel more uncomfortable. He needed to break the cycle before it set in properly.
"What about you?" he asked her, deciding to flip the spotlight away from himself, smoothly. "I think, the only thing I know about you, is that you're a Gryffindor. Enlighten me." His ice blue eyes settled on hers. He was genuinely interested to know who she was. Hell, he had to be! This was no game they were stuck in, so he needed to know what he was dealing with.

--- When you try your best but you dont succeed ;;
( WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT NOT WHAT YOU NEED ) Emilia was a rambler, which at some points in time was a good thing like here for example. Emilia listen to Johnny as he told limited things about himself but luckily it was enough to go off on. "Who doesn't love Quidditch? I love it too, I almost tried out for the team this year... but I figured I'd end up being crushed into tiny little pieces if I had joined seeing as how small I am" she laughed softly as she looked towards her feet. Emilia was came up to 5'1 which was lower then the average female. She blamed her mom for that gene.
Like most girls, Emilia enjoyed to talk, actually, she uses it as a weapon sometimes. If she's in a relationship and her boyfriend makes her mad she will keep talking and talking. about everything and everything why? because it will bother him. Most girls would do the silent treatment but she thinks that is a gift so she does the opposite. She could talk about everything and anything if you gave her the chance. There is never a dull moment when it comes to her. now, on the other hand... if she's talking to someone she has just met she tends to be more quite.
unlike most people, Emilia loves awkward moments why? simply because it's an intense moment that isn't sexual in anyway. Emilia loves intense situations they give her an adrenaline rush like never before. The moments where there is sexual tension just crack her up though, but that never happens normally. she gets out of the relationship way before that has the chance to happen.
Emilia was caught by surprised when he asked about her, normally guys didn't ask about her because most new they wouldn't be able to get with her not because she's out of their league but because she has trust issues. "Me? Well..." she paused and looked up as if trying to think of what to say. Emilia brush the hair that had fallen into her face behind her ear and looked up with a sheepish smile before she started to nibble on her bottom lip." I'm sixteen, I have an older brother who is fairly protective over me, I'm also from London, and I can name every single star constellation in the sky on a crystal clear night. I am in Gryffindor but my favorite color is green. I love swimming and being outside and i also love flying on my broom. This room? I'm a sucker for this stuff, anything cheesy, mainly pick-up lines I'm a sucker for... as you can see I'm open about myself any anything really." she giggled softly as she leaned back on the couch and let out a sigh of relief. Emilia took off her headband and placed it on the coffee table before running her hand through her hair. she had been stressed out lately, mainly with school. sometimes she would ever get a migraine... everything ached on her, from her feet to her head thankfully it wasn't as painful as it had been a few days ago when she had a pounding headache and hadn't gone to classes.
Emilia was stressed easily, she didn't like being stressed at all. but, then again who did? no one really liked to be stressed, and who ever did was crazy. "What house are you in? and why were you almost sorted in to Ravenclaw?" she felt kind of silly to ask that but not like it really mattered to her but she was curious, but she was also curious to how he knew she was in Gryffindor but that question would be for another day.

Johnny couldn't help but give her body a quick once-over as she mentioned how small she was and that she would get crushed on the Quidditch team. He hadn't been able to help but notice her height - or lack of it - when she had approached him out in the hallway. Johnny himself, was six feet tall, so he was almost a foot taller than her, which would no doubt make them look a little odd walking around together. He never voiced his opinions on such shallow things in life, but it did bother him a bit, the thought of looking silly like that. Maybe if she stuck to wearing high heels it wouldn't be so bad, but what was he on about!? It wasn't going to be an issue anyway, because something was going to happen sooner or later to get him out of this horribly restrictive match business. He just wasn't sure what that something was yet.
Still, he could pass the time well enough listening to her talk about herself and making light conversation. That wouldn't hurt too much. He just didn't want to lead her on, as he did with a lot of girls. This wasn't a game, and he hated that fact more than anything. She was saying something about being in Gryffindor but liking the colour green, and though he wasn't taking every last word in, his blue eyes were still fixed alertly on her face, as though he were hanging off every sentence, rapt. She also mentioned that she loved rooms like the one they were currently in, and Johnny let out a relieved laugh, which grew louder as she told him she was a sucker for cheesy pick-up lines.
"Well, I'm surprised we've never met before this, in that case," he told her with a grin and a shake of his head. "Though I like to think of my flirting techniques as smooth, rather than cheesy." He glanced around the room once more, this time trying to take in all of the little details he'd missed before. "So this is why we got put in here," he marveled. "Cupid must like you to give you your own personal dream room." He winked at her and dropped his face until he was peering up intently into her eyes. He wondered what she would think when she found out he was in Slytherin. It was no secret a lot of Gryfindors and Slytherins held a centuries-old grudge against each other, and even though Johnny wasn't one of those people, he still expected it from others, from previous experience.
"I suppose it's a good job your favourite colour is green," he said quietly, biting his lip as his eyes stayed on hers, with such intensity it was as though he was trying to see right through her skull and read her thoughts on what he was about to say. "I'm in Slytherin." He watched her for a moment, and then finished answering her question. "I suppose I'm just too intelligent for your average Snake, though. The hat took a long time making a decision over me, but Slytherin won out." He gave a casual shrug and released her from his gaze. Johnny wasn't your typical Slytherin. He wasn't cruel in the ways his housemates were. He wasn't ruthless or superior in any way. A lot of his friends from other houses were often surprised how likeable he was, "for a Serpent". He definitely broke the mold.

( WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT NOT WHAT YOU NEED ) Emilia smiled lightly, unsure if he was making fun of her or if he was making fun with her. he went on about how this most be her dream room and she giggled slightly at that comment. Yes she was a sucker for cheesy things, but this room had to be over the top. His wink caused her to blush slightly. It wasn't easy to make her blush, although he did it so easily... This fact scared Emilia quite a lot... to the point she contemplated getting up and getting a water just for an excuse to get up and cool down. She wasn't going to let cupid win not after all that stupid thing has put her through the past years. She made a vow that she wouldn't fall so easily for pretty boys and she was sticking to it! she bit her lip nervously as she looked him in the eyes and blushed more.
She felt an intense moment coming on... he started to bit his lip which she could help but think was adorable. she watched him intensely, as he said his house name... "Slytherin?" she repeated to herself, as she looked away from him. Her eyes rolled over the coffee table in from of her."I donno.. that sounds like a deal breaker to me"she joked as she winked at him. Most of her friends hated Slytherin due to the old grudge between the two. She had a few friends that didn't mind Slytherin, Caleb was one of them, well he only liked one Slytherin she didn't know his friends name but Caleb talked about their adventures all the time. For her? House didn't really matter to her. not sure why it was even matter, well she could understand why some girls from Gryffindor would never date a Slytherin... she wouldn't mind it...
What was she thinking about?! dating?! she needed an escape root. Emilia rose to her feet and walked over towards the bar. she leaned against it and sighed softly... She was trying to forget about this whole... match making thing that the demon cupid pulled over them. "You're pretty good looking...... " she smiled before winking at him. There was nothing wrong with being playful with him. the bartender handed her a glass of water which she gladly took before turning her body to face him. she crossed her legs and leaned back on the bar as she took a sip of her water and playfully smiled at him..

She feigned contempt and teased about him being in Slytherin, and Johnny shook his head with a smile. At least she had a sense of humour. He could work with that. He watched her pretty little frame cross the room to get a drink, and she proceeded to lean against the bar, all too casually, and tell him that he was good looking. 'Whoa.' He laughed lightly, leaning back in his seat, his head resting on his hand as he watched her, trying to figure out what her game was. She seemed to be the kind of girl that would surprise him at every turn if he had the nerve to underestimate her.
He took a deep breath. Two could play that game, though he would have to be careful not to lead her on too much. "You're pretty beautiful yourself," he shot back, giving the man behind the bar a subtle nod, which he understood immediately and set to getting Johnny a drink, too. Standing, he made his way over to Emilia, taking the proffered glass from the bartender and sipping his water thoughtfully. He took his time putting the glass back down, making sure to position himself just so, so that he had to lean around Emilia to reach the bar, in a motion that practically had her pinned, his face close to her ear.
"I wouldn't advise you to get any 'ideas' about me, though," he whispered, unable to help but notice the pretty scent that wafted up from her hair. "I've been known to break bold little Gryffindor hearts without even trying." He wasn't sure of the exact reason he felt the need to warn her off of him. Maybe it was a defense mechanism, but he wanted her to maybe feel overwhelmed by him, to feel the need to get away from him. He was likely just looking for a way out. "I'll go easy on you, though," he murmured in her ear, before moving back and giving her a bit of space.
His eyes held hers, though, a suffocating experience on it's own. Johnny had a way of making people feel like he was encroaching on their personal space just with a look. He had such an intensity about him, a lot of people felt intimidated, like he could see things about them they didn't want him to. It was obviously just a feeling, since he was by no means psychic, but he had learned to use it to his advantage every now and then. He had the distinct feeling, though, that this girl was not the type to back down from a challenge. And the challenge of Johnny, himself, was a big one in this match situation. Maybe he would have to rethink his approach in putting her off.

--- When you try your best but you dont succeed ;;
( WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT NOT WHAT YOU NEED ) Emilia watched him as he made his way towards her, she actually started to get nervous as he approved her. She slowly sipped her water as he positioned himself so he had to lean over her to reach the bar, basically pinning her against the bar. Her heart started to race when when his face moved close to her face but leaned more towards her ear. Her heart was racing like a bunny being chased by a fox. of course, she wouldn't let this show on her face. she could feel him breathing slightly on her neck which set goose bumps down her skin which were a little hard to hide.
His voice attempted to melt her. Starting from her ear but it only gave her more goose bumps that traveled down the side of her body. He warned her about him... how he was known to break hearts, especially bold little Gryffindor hearts without trying. To her... it seemed a little be like a challenge... and Emilia loved a good challenge. he added the fact that he would go easy on her. It was official to her... It was a challenge. He finished sending lovely chills down her spin. He moved back giving her a little bit of space. 'Challenge Accepted' she thought as she smirked.
her heart slowed down for a moment before speeding up again when their eyes locked. She didn't feel uncomfortable but she could feel the air around them become very intense. It seemed almost like a staring contest. She felt like he was staring right through her head, as if he was trying to figure out what she was going to do next. if she was going to just leave feeling threatened by his words and never speak to him again? or is she was going to do something crazy. Emilia has and always will be a spontaneous bold Gryffindor and nothing will ever change that.
Emilia moved closer to him, almost to the point she pressed herself against him and smiled lightly. Although she was shorter she wouldn't be able to whisper in his ear. her hand rested on his chest before slowly moving up to his neck. her face moved close to his face almost like she was going to kiss him. "What a coincidence..." she paused before caressing his jaw line lightly. " I am quite the heart breaker myself." Emilia move her hand away from his face and smirked before back to where she first was. Her so called 'escape root' had failed but now, she was having fun with this game...
Although her heart pounded in her chest she ignored it as she took a drink from her water. her body leaned against the bar, putting all her weight against it not like it there was much to begin with. she rested her elbows on the bar behind her and watched johnny for a reaction. the only thing going through her mind was how he started it... but really, it was probably her that was the to start it. she normally does start it unintentionally, which her and the guy start dating and then sooner or later she dumps them. There was only one time where she was actually the one to get dumped... and it hasn't happened since then. she's been the dumper since her first year.
She finished her water and placed it on the counter, it was only moments before the bartender gave her a new glass. She always found water so good tasty while others found it tasteless. Emilia's hand brushed the fallen hair behind her ear again, but it always seemed to find a way to come out from behind it. Her eyes roamed over his chest and face... If something bloomed from this match... she'd defiantly would have to invest in more heels. "So.. Is this how you pick up all you're dates? or is it a lot more casual?" she teased him lightly.
