JONATHAN JAMES TOWNSEND
Johnny is an only child, born into a Muggle family who worked hard all their lives to make sure they wanted for nothing. Unlike a lot of well-off people with good jobs and money to spare, Johnny's parents raised him to appreciate money and not waste it or take it for granted, so he was never spoiled, and always had to work to earn pocket money as a child. He has strong ethics and morals, and a good respect for how the world works, and just what it takes to get places. He does know how to have a good time, though, and how to manipulate like a pro. He has always been exceptionally good at finding loopholes. If there is a way around breaking a rule, he will find it. And if there isn't, then he'll still manage to make it work to his advantage, somehow ending up completely void of blame no matter who tries to find a way to have good reason to punish him. Given this, it goes without saying that Johnny is highly intelligent. Always in top classes in his school, he never seems to struggle or have any difficulty learning things, even the most complicated of subjects, he has a natural understanding of. And even if he doesn't, he only has to be shown a few times and he's got it nailed already. This goes a long way to helping him keep a good reputation with authority figures.
Johnny has always had a very magnetic quality to him, the kind of vibe that draws people in and makes them want to befriend a person, without really knowing them. Self-protective as he is, Johnny is always welcoming to these people, and gives them all a fair chance. He knows how to turn on the charm and make people smile and laugh, and though he can switch this on and off at will, it is by no means fake. He is always very genuine with his compliments and praise, as well as his cutting humour. He likes to tease people, not in a serious, insulting way, but in a way that earns him the nickname among his friends of "Wind-up Johnny". Though he loves to have his fun and push boundaries, Johnny is a person who anyone would be lucky to have on their side. He's generous and kind, giving and loyal and would go to the ends of the earth for a good cause. He especially loves animals, and would do anything for them. You can often find him up in the owlery, or sitting in the common room surrounded by cats that aren't his own.
Johnny broods a lot, below the surface. He has quiet spells at least twice a day, where nobody dares to disturb him as he stares off into space and ponders the world, or dark things, or whatever. He's very philosophical, and he also has quite a nasty streak when provoked, so you never know what he's thinking about at these times. It's usually pretty obvious when to avoid him, but it's truly impossible to ever know what's bubbling in secret. He can be very cold to people who he thinks deserve it, or those who have crossed him, which is probably the reason he ended up in Slytherin. He has a dangerous mind, and often shockingly violent thoughts that he would never admit to. He keeps them to himself, and tries to push them away, but sometimes secretly getting revenge on people is necessary, and you'll never see it coming, or find out that it was him, but whatever it is, will be truly awful. He can be snappy if people are too stupid, or act it, and will withdraw into himself to stop from causing a scene. He's not a great enemy to have, really, especially if you like your head attached to your neck, or aren't fond of icy glares. He's very talented when it comes to icy glares....
Johnny has a wonderful zest for life. He can be fun, he can be crazy, and he can be very unpredictable. He is always up for a good party, and is usually to be found dancing away in the corner, surrounded by hordes of admiring girls. He, of course, doesn't mind this at all, though when it comes down to actually getting serious with any of them, he's very choosy, and quite reluctant to take things too far, in case his girl of the week starts to get clingy and think they're on the way to marriage and babies. He does want those things, and when he does find the right girl (as if Cupid is gonna have a say in this), he will be the most loyal, fun, attentive companion anyone could wish for, and life as Johnny's girlfriend/wife would never be dull. In the meantime, he's not exactly going to turn down kissing hot girls at parties, now, is he? And he's highly adept at charming the pants off of pretty much anyone that crosses his path, male or female.
